2018年6月24日 招詞ヨハネ17:15 マタイ6:9‐13「試みに会わせず」
主の祈りの学びも、私たちに関わる最後の祈りになります。「私たちを試みに会わせないで、悪からお救いください。」
Ⅰ 試みに会わせないで、と祈ります。会わせないでと祈るのですから、この試みは悪いことに相違ありません。新約聖書では「試み」と翻訳されたことば（ペイラスモス）は、二通りの意味に理解されています。
１ 先ず良い意味です。試練とか訓練という意味です。訓練を受けた結果、私たちが強くなり、以前よりも高い水準に向上するのです。第一ペテロ1：6-7「そういうわけで、あなたがたは大いに喜んでいます。いまは、しばらくの間、さまざまの試練の中で、悲しまなければならないのですが、信仰の試練は、火を通して精練されてもなお朽ちて行く金よりも尊いのであって、イエス・キリストの現われのときに称賛と光栄と栄誉に至るものであることがわかります。」
ヤコブ1：2-3.12「私の兄弟たち。さまざまな試練に会うときは、それをこの上もない喜びと思いなさい。 信仰がためされると忍耐が生じるということを、あなたがたは知っているからです…試練に耐える人は幸いです。耐え抜いて良しと認められた人は、神を愛する者に約束された、いのちの冠を受けるからです。」
主の祈りは、このような訓練試練に会わせないでと祈っているのではありません。
２ 次は悪い意味です。誘惑
これは罪を犯させて以前よりも低い状態に人間をおいやってしまうのです。ですから、会いたくありません。誘惑は常に人につきまっとっています。罪に落ち込むようにひっぱりこむ試みです。エデンの園で,
アダムとエバを罪にさそいこんだ悪魔の誘惑がありました。主イエス様も公の生涯の初めに荒野で40日40夜断食をされたのちに、誘惑に会われました。これらのことは誘惑する存在が居ることをはっきりと示しています。サタンは架空の存在でなく、実際の人格的な存在です。
神様に敵対して働き、人間を巧みに中傷し、神様の目的の実行を阻み、罪から罪へと人間を陥れるのです。聖書は悪の起源については教えていません。しかし現実に存在している悪へ誘惑する存在については明白に教えています。それと戦うこと、また勝利をおさめることを教えて、準備させようとしています。自分が寝ている間に家が火事で燃えて目が覚めた時、人は誰でも火を消して家と自分を救おうとします。火事の原因について考えたり論じたりはしません。まず火を消すのです。主イエス様は悪魔の激烈な誘惑に会われたので、その体験から「試みに会わせず、悪からお救いください」と祈るようにと勧められました。試みに陥らないように、試みに負けないように、勝つように祈りなさい。
主イエス様ご自身が弟子たちのために祈っておられます。ヨハネ17：15「彼らをこの世から取り去ってくださるようにというのではなく、悪い者から守ってくださるようにお願いします」
誘惑や艱難や災難に会うとき、勝利することができるようにと、とりなしてくださっておられます。
Ⅱ 次に「悪からお救いください。」といいます。試みに勝つと悪から救われます。
１ ここに悪からと書かれている言葉は、私が悪をしないようにしてください、という意味と、悪い者からお救いくださいという意味の二通りがあります。この地上に悪の勢力があり、各界各層にいます。このサタンの勢力から救われて被害を受けずに勝利を得るようにしてください。
このみことばは私たちの魂、体、名誉、財産、子供たちを悪の勢力からお救いくださって、正しい道に歩むようにしてくださいという祈りです。このような祈りは、自分の弱さを知っている者にとって真心から日々に捧げる必要があります。そしてこの祈りを捧げる者は「身をつつしみ、目を覚ましていなさい。」とあるように生活しなければなりません。試みの来るところから遠ざかり身を慎んでいなければなりません。
２ 試みはどこからくるのか。さまざまな道から試みはきます。
まず、物質を通して試みます。アブラハムの甥のロトは、ヨルダンの低地がよく潤っているのを見て選び取りました。その結果、悪の巣窟のようなソドム、ゴモラの街の近くまで天幕を張りました。ところがソドムの人々は邪悪な行為を積み重ね、その悪が満ちあふれて神様は滅ぼす決心をされ実行に移しました。火と硫黄をもって滅びました。ロトの妻は主の警告に背いて後ろを振り向いたために塩の柱にされてしまいました。
主イエスを敵側に売り飛ばしたイスカリオテのユダは、銀貨40枚に目がくらみました。悪魔はこのように物質に対する貪欲を通して常に私たちを試みます。ですから物質はどのように求め、どのように使うかを考えなければなりません。
また、誘惑は男女の関係を通してきます。イスラエルの平和の王といわれたソロモンは知恵に満たされた王であったけれども、最後は情欲によって愚かな者となりました。第一列王11：1-13「ソロモン王は、パロの娘のほかに多くの外国の女、すなわちモアブ人の女、アモン人の女、エドム人の女、シドン人の女、ヘテ人の女を愛した。この女たちは、主がかつてイスラエル人に、「あなたがたは彼らの中にはいって行ってはならない。彼らをもあなたがたの中に入れてはならない。さもないと、彼らは必ずあなたがたの心を転じて彼らの神々に従わせる。」と言われたその国々の者であった。それなのに、ソロモンは彼女たちを愛して、離れなかった。彼には七百人の王妃としての妻と、三百人のそばめがあった。その妻たちが彼の心を転じた。」
主はソロモンに仰せられた。「あなたがこのようにふるまい、わたしが命じたわたしの契約とおきてとを守らなかったので、わたしは王国をあなたから必ず引き裂いて、あなたの家来に与える。しかし、あなたの父ダビデに免じて、あなたの存命中は、そうしないが、あなたの子の手からそれを引き裂こう。ただし、王国全部を引き裂くのではなく、わたしのしもべダビデと、わたしが選んだエルサレムのために、一つの部族だけをあなたの子に与えよう。」
サムソンもまた情欲の虜になり、敵対する国の計略により使われた女性デリラにとらわれ、身を滅ぼしました。情欲による試みによって倒れる人が、どれほど多くいるか、はかりしれません。
さらにこの地上の栄光、名誉、権力、地位のために試みに陥る人が多いのです。主イエス様が悪魔から受けた誘惑は、地上の栄華のすべてを見せて、私を拝むならこれらはすべてあなたの物にしようというのでした。悪魔にひれ伏すことで世界帝国を与えるというのです。悪魔の誘惑にひれ伏して、この世での自分の優越性を確保するなら、いつの日か大変な滅びを刈り取ることになります。
これらの誘惑は、自分の外側からきます。友人や愛している者や仲間を通して来ます。また自分の内側からも来ます。ヤコブ1：13-16「だれでも誘惑に会ったとき、神によって誘惑された、と言ってはいけません。神は悪に誘惑されることのない方であり、ご自分でだれを誘惑なさることもありません。 人はそれぞれ自分の欲に引かれ、おびき寄せられて、誘惑されるのです。欲がはらむと罪を生み、罪が熟すると死を生みます。 愛する兄弟たち。だまされないようにしなさい。」
Ⅲ 試みに勝つにはどうしたら良いでしょうか。
主イエス様が、今も生きておられて共におられると信じること。信じる者と共におられる主を仰ぐこと。あなたの傍らにおられる主を覚えること。誘惑に注意を集中するのでなく、主イエス様に注意を集中する。心が主に向けられると悪は魅力を失うのです。私たちは主の恵みによって強められるのです。
すでに十字架の上で罪に勝利をおさめられたお方によって、キリスト者は勝利を自分のものとできるのです。
結び）この祈りが教えている大切なことは、人間があらゆる誘惑をのりこえられるほど強くないということです。うぬぼれてはなりません。試みに負けやすい弱い自分であるということを知って、神様に助けを求める必要があるのです.助け主である聖霊は私たちを助けます。祈りましょう。この祈りを捧げることは、誘惑に勝つためであるよりは、そのようにして主イエス様を見上げることにあるのです。神様との正しい関係を保つことにあります。天の父と私たち子供たちとの関係の中に他のない者も割り込ませないことが大切です。

마태복음 6장9-13절「우리를 시험에 들지 않게 하시고」
주기도문를 배우고 있는데 오늘은 우리와 관계가 깊은 마지막 부분입니다.
「우리를 시험에 들지 않게 하시고 악에서 구하소서.。」
- 시험에 들지 않게 해달라는 기도입니다. 만나지 않도록 해달라는 기도이기
때문에 시험은 즉 나쁘다라고 말할수 있습니다. 신약성경에서는「시험」이라
말은 두가지 (베이라스모스) 다른 의미를 가지고 있습니다.
먼저 좋은 의미로는 시련, 훈련이라는 의미입니다. 훈련을 받음으로 우리들은
강해지고, 전에 보다 높은 수준에 올라갑니다. 베드로전서1：6-7「그러므로 여러분은 이제 온갖 시험을 당해 잠시 근심하게 됐으나 오히려 크게 기뻐합니다. 그것은 여러분이 당하는 믿음의 시련이 불로 단련해도 없어질 금보다 더 귀해 예수 그리스도께서 나타나실 때 칭찬과 영광과 존귀를 얻게 하려는 것입니다。」
야고보서1：2-3.12「내 형제들이여, 여러 가지 시험을 만나거든 온전히 기쁘게 여기십시오 여러분이 알다시피 여러분의 믿음의 연단은 인내를 이룹니다.・・・시험을 견디는 사람은 복이 있습니다. 이는 그가 인정을 받은 후에 하나님을 사랑하는 사람들에게 약속된 생명의 면류관을 받을 것이기 때문입니다.。」
주기도문는 이러한 시련 훈련에 만나지 않게 해달라고 하는 기도하는
것이 아닙니다.
다음은 좋지 않는 의미입니다. 유혹 그것은 죄를 범하게 해 이전보다 좋지 않은
상태로 인간을 떨어뜨립니다. 때문에 만나고 싶지 않습니다. 유혹은 항상에 사람
들을 따라 다닙니다. 죄에 떨어뜨리기 위해 시험합니다. 아담과 해와를 죄에 넣기 위해 악마가 유혹합니다. 주님도 공생애를 시작하기 전 광야에서 40일 낮
40일 밤을 단식하고 유혹을 받았습니다. 이것으로 부터 유혹하는 존재가 분명이
존재한다고 표현합니다. 사탄은 공존하는 존재가 아니고 실제로 인격적으로 존재한다는것입니다. 하나님에게 적대하고 인간를 속이고, 하나님에 목적을 방해
하고, 죄중에 죄로 인간을 떨어뜨립니다. 성경은 악에 기원에 대해 자세하게 가르치지 않습니다. 그러나 현실에 존재하는 악의 유혹에 대해서는 명백하게
가르칩니다. 그것과 싸워 이기고 준비하도록 합니다.
자기가 잠잘동안 집에 불이나서 다 탈경우 눈을 뜨자마자, 사람은 누구나 먼저
불을 끄고 집과 자기자신을 구하고자 합니다. 화재에 원인에 대해 생각하거나
논쟁하지 않습니다. 먼저 불을 끄는것이 선무입니다. 예수님은 악마의 맹렬한 유혹을 받았기 때문에 그 체험으로 부터「우리를 시험에 들지 않게 하시고 악에서 구하소서.」라고 기도하게 하십니다. 시험에 들지 않게 해달라고, 시험에 지지 않도록, 시험에 이길수 있도록 기도하라 하십니다. 주님이 자신이
제자들을 위해 기도합니다. 요한복음17：15「내가 아버지께 기도하는 것은 아버지께서 그들을 세상에서 데려가 달라는 것이 아니라 악한 자로부터 그들을 보호해 달라는 것입니다.」유혹과 곤난,화재를 만났을때, 승리 할수 있도록 중보
해주시고 계십니다.
2 다음으로「악에서 구하소서.。」입니다. 시험에 승리하게 되면 악으로 부터
구원을 받게 됩니다. 여기에서 악이라는 말은 내가 악을 행하지 않도록 해달라
는 의미와 악한자로 부터 구해달라는 두가지 의미가 있습니다. 이 세상에는 악
한 세력이 각계 각층에 있습니다. 이 사탄의 세력으로 부터 구해주셔서 피해를
받지 않고 승리하게 하소서라는 기도입니다. 이 말씀은 우리들에 혼, 몸, 명예
재산, 자녀들이 악의 세력으로 부터 벗어나 바른길로 갈수 있게 해달라는 기도
입니다. 이 기도는 자기의 약함을 아는자는 진심으로 매일 드릴필요가 있습니다
그리고 이기도를 드리는자는「몸을 정결하게 하고、눈을 뜨고 있어야 한다。」
라는 생활을 해야 합니다. 시험으로 부터 벗어나 몸을 정결하게 하지 않으면 안
됩니다. 시험을 어디에서 오는걸까요 여러가지 길에 시험들이 있습니다. 먼저 물질로 부터 오는 시험입니다. 아브라함의 형님 로토는 요르단 아래 땅이 기름
진것을 보고 그곳을 선택했습니다. 그결과 우상이 가득한 소돔, 고모라까지
천막을 친것입니다. 그러나 그 사람들은 악의적인 행위를 했고, 그 악행으로 하
나님으로 부터 멀어진것입니다. 불과 유황으로 망한것입니다. 로토의 처는 하나
님에 경고를 무시해 뒤를 돌아봄으로 소금기둥이 되고 맙니다. 주님을 은화40
장에 판 이스카리오테 유다가 있습니다. 악마는 이렇게 물질의 욕망으로 우리
를 시험합니다. 때문에 물질은 어떻게 구하고 어떻게 사용할것인가를 생각하지
않으면 안됩니다. 또한 유혹은 남녀관계를 통해 옵니다. 이스라엘 평화에 왕인
솔로몬은 지혜가 풍부한 왕이였는데도 마지막에 욕정에 의해 바보스러운 자가
되였습니다. 열왕기상11：1-13 「한편 솔로몬 왕은 바로의 딸을 비롯해 많은 이방 여인들을 사랑했습니다. 모압 여자, 암몬 여자, 에돔 여자, 시돈 여자, 헷 여자들이었습니다. 여호와께서 전에 이 민족들에 대해 이스라엘 자손들에게 말씀하셨습니다. “너희는 그들과 서로 결혼하지 말라. 그들은 분명 너희 마음을 자기 신들에게 돌릴 것이다.” 그럼에도 불구하고 솔로몬은 그들을 사랑했습니다.그에게는 700명의 후비가 있었고 300명의 첩이 있었는데 그 후비들이 솔로몬의 마음을 돌려놓았습니다 솔로몬이 나이 들자 왕비들이 그의 마음을 다른 신들에게로 돌려놓았고 솔로몬은 그 아버지 다윗의 마음과 달리 그의 마음을 하나님 여호와께 다 드리지 않았습니다 그는 시돈 사람의 여신 아스다롯과 암몬 사람의 가증스러운 신 밀곰을 따랐습니다 솔로몬은 여호와 보시기에 악을 행했습니다. 그는 자기 아버지 다윗과는 달리 여호와를 온전히 따르지 않았습니다 솔로몬은 예루살렘 동쪽 언덕에 모압의 가증스러운 신 그모스를 위해, 또 암몬 사람의 가증스런 신 몰록을 위해 산당을 지었습니다 솔로몬은 이방에서 온 자기 왕비들을 위해서도 그렇게 했고 왕비들은 그 우상들을 위해 분향하고 제사를 지냈습니다 그러자 여호와께서 솔로몬에게 진노하셨습니다. 그가 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와에게서 마음을 돌이켰기 때문입니다. 여호와께서는 그에게 두 번씩이나 나타나셨고 이 일에 대해 다른 신들을 따르지 말라고 명령하셨습니다. 솔로몬은 여호와의 명령을 지키지 않았습니다그리하여 여호와께서 솔로몬에게 말씀하셨습니다. “네가 이런 일을 해 내가 네게 명령한 내 언약과 내 규례를 지키지 않았구나. 그러므로 내가 이 나라를 반드시 네게서 찢어내어 네 신하에게 줄 것이다. 그러나 네 아버지 다윗을 생각해서 네 시대에는 그렇게 하지 않고 네 아들의 손에서 빼앗아 찢을 것이다. 나라 전체를 찢어 내지는 않고 내 종 다윗과 내가 선택한 예루살렘을 생각해서 네 아들에게 한 지파를 줄 것이다.” 。」
삼손 또한 욕정에 눈이 멀어 적국 나라에 전략으로 사용한 데리라라는 여자에게
몸을 맡기고 말았습니다. 욕정에 따라 무너진 사람이 얼마나 많은지 모릅니다.
또한 이세상에 영광, 명예, 권력, 지위로 시험 당한자가 많습니다.
주님 또한 악마로 부터 받은 시험은 세상 모든 영예를 보여주고 자기를 숭배하
면 모든것을 주겠다 했습니다. 악마에게 절함으로 세계제국을 얻는것입니다.
악마에게 굴복하고 이 지상에서 자기 우월성을 확보 한다 하더라도 언제가는
다 무너질것입니다. 이러한 유혹은 자기 외부로 부터 옵니다. 친구나 사랑하는
사람으로 부터 옵니다. 또한 내속에서도 오기도
합니다. 야고보서1：13-16「누구든지 시험을 당할 때 “내가 하나님께 시험을 받고 있다”라고 말하지 마십시오. 하나님은 악에게 시험을 받지도 않으시고 친히 누구를 시험하지도 않으십니다.。각 사람이 시험을 당하는 것은 자신의 욕심에 이끌려 유혹에 빠지기 때문입니다。욕심이 잉태해 죄를 낳고 죄가 자라 사망을 낳습니다.。내 사랑하는 형제들이여, 속지 마십시오.。」
3 시험을 이기기 위해 무엇을 해야 할까요 주님이 지금도 살아계시고 함께 하심
을 믿는것, 믿는자와 같이 계시는 주님을 바라보고, 당신을 부르시는 주님을
생각하는것, 유혹에 끌리지 않고, 주님에게 집중하는것, 마음이 주님을 향하면
악은 마력을 상실합니다. 우리들은 주님에 은혜로 강해집니다. 이미 십자가 위에서 죄를 이기신 분으로 말미암아 그리스도에 승리가 자기에 것이 되는것입니다. 물에 빠져서 허우적거리지 마십시요. 시험에 들기 쉬운 자기에 약함을 알고, 하나님에 도우신이 필요하며 주님은 성령을 통해 우리를 도우십니다. 기도합시다.
맺음) 이 기도를 드리는것은 유혹에 승리하기 위함보다는 그렇게 해주실 주님을
바라보는것입니다. 하나님과 올바른 관계를 가지는것입니다. 하늘에 계시는 하
나님 아버지와 우리과 자녀간에 다른 어느것도 들어오지 않도록 하는것은
중요한것입니다.

Matthew 6:9-13: Lead us not into temptation
Learning of the Lord’s prayer has come to the last point: “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”
- We pray “lead us not into temptation” This temptation must be something bad. The word “Peirasmos”, which is translated “temptation” in the New Testament, contains two different meanings.
The first meaning is something good. It means trial or training. As a result of the training, we gain strength and step up to the higher level. 1 Peter 1:6-7”In this, you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith–of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire–may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”
James 1:2-3:12”Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. …. Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he was stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him”
The Lord’s prayer doesn’t mean to pray to avoid such trainings and trials
The second meaning is something bad. Seduction would lead men to commit a sin and put men spiritually in the lower level than it was before. Therefore, we do not want to face. Seduction, however, is always around men; it tries to drag in to commit a sin. In the Garden of Eden, the devil tempted Adam and Eve to commit a sin. The Lord Jesus faced temptation after 40 days of fasting in the wilderness on His early time of life on public. These incidents clearly shows that the presence of temptation. Satan is not imaginary existence, but actual personal being. Satan works against God, slanders human beings tactfully, blocks God’s plan to actualize and drops human into committing sin after sin. Bible does not teach the origin of evil, but explains clearly the existence of evil which tries to seduce in reality. Moreover, it advises to fight against evil and teaches to win a victory, which will help being ready for facing temptation. When a man woke up and saw a fire in his house, he would try to rescue himself by extinguishing the fire, at first. He won’t discuss the cause of the fire, then. First, he will put the fire out. The Lord Jesus faced the drastic seduction from evil. Through His experience, He recommended to pray “and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one”. We should pray to win against falling into a trial and leading into an attempt. The Lord Jesus is praying for His disciples. John 17:15 “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.” He tries to mediate to win a victory when going through temptation, hardship or disaster.
- Secondary, it says “deliver us from the evil ones.” It will be saved from the evil ones by winning a trial. The words “from the evil ones” written here contains two different meanings. One is to protect me from doing wrong. The other is to keep me safe from the evil one. There are the forces of evils in every field and every layer on the earth. May victory comes by keeping us away from Satan’s influence and suffering damage. This message is a prayer to walk with right path by saving our souls, bodies, honors, prosperities and children from the forces of evils. It is necessary for those who are aware of own weakness to give this such prayer every day. And those who give the prayer should live to “be alert, be on watch” as advised. Stay away from any places with temptation and be alert.
Where temptation comes from? Temptation comes from various ways.
First, it comes through substances. Lot, Abram’s nephew, saw that the whole plain of the Jordan was well watered and chose the place. Consequently, he pitched his tents near the town of Sodom and Gomorrah where there were dens of vice. Then, the men in Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against God; they decided to destroy God and set it into action. These places were destroyed by burning sulfur. Also, Lot’s wife betrayed the Lord’s warning and looked back, and then she became a pillar of salt.
Judas Iscariot, who handed the Lord Jesus over to the enemy side, was blinded by 40 silver coins.
Thus, evil tries to lead us temptation through such greed toward substances. Therefore, we must manage how we seek and use substances. Also, temptation comes through the relationship between men and women.
Solomon, King of peace for Israel, was a king with full of wisdom, but became foolish by lust at the end. 1 King 11:1-13 “King Solomon, however, loved many foreign women besides Pharaoh’s daughter—Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians and Hittites. They were from nations about which the Lord had told the Israelites, “You must not intermarry with them, because they will surely turn your hearts after their gods.” Nevertheless, Solomon held fast to them in love. He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray. As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father had been. He followed Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and Molech the detestable god of the Ammonites. So Solomon did evil in the eyes of the Lord; he did not follow the Lord completely, as David his father had done. On a hill east of Jerusalem, Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the detestable god of Moab, and for Molech the detestable god of the Ammonites. He did the same for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and offered sacrifices to their gods. The Lord became angry with Solomon because his heart had turned away from the Lord, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice. Although he had forbidden Solomon to follow other gods, Solomon did not keep the Lord’s command. So the Lord said to Solomon, “Since this is your attitude and you have not kept my covenant and my decrees, which I commanded you, I will most certainly tear the kingdom away from you and give it to one of your subordinates. Nevertheless, for the sake of David your father, I will not do it during your lifetime. I will tear it out of the hands of your son. Yet I will not tear the whole kingdom from him, but will give him one tribe for the sake of David my servant and for the sake of Jerusalem, which I have chosen. ”
Samson also became a slave with lust; he ruined himself being caught by Delilah, who was sent from the opposed country to trap him.
Still, there are many people falling into a trial by glory, honor, power and position on the earth. The temptation that the Lord Jesus faced from the evil one was that all the prosperity on this earth was shown, and the evil said “this becomes yours if you worship me”. The world empire is given by going down on evil’s knees. If one gains his superiority on this earth by falling on evil’s temptation, severe doom will be mown someday.
All this temptation comes from one’s outside. It comes through friends, loved ones, and fellows. It also comes from one’s inside. James 1:13-16: “When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 3 How do we overcome temptation?
Trust that the Lord Jesus is still alive and be with you. Seek the Lord who is with anyone who believes Him. Be aware that the Lord is by your side. Focus on the Lord Jesus, not pay attention to temptation. When the heart is turned to the Lord, it loses interest in the evil. We will be strengthened by the Lord’s blessing. Christians gain a victory by the Lord who already won the victory over the sin on the cross.
